Delta 7 news

14 June 2019

The members of Delta 7 have been busy as usual so far this year AND have launched a brand new event for Eastbourne.

In addition to rehearsals and gigs, the band delivered two songwriting workshops in Eastbourne: one at Linden Court Day Centre and one at the Birley Centre.  Beyond Eastbourne, Delta 7 have performed at FestivALL in Chichester in March and at the Little Gate Farm Festival in June and are looking forward to performing in Croydon at Club Soda in July.

Delta 7 are delighted to have launched a totally new project in Eastbourne in memory of their music mentor Tom Salway called The Circus of Sound Cabaret.  This a regular night of live performance including music, dancing and cabaret and proudly includes everyone in the local community.  Since the launch event in March, there have been 2 more in May and June with a varied programme of acts including singers, puppets, comedy and the wonderful Daniel Wakeford of Channel 4s’ ‘The Undateables’ fame.

Dates for your diary for Circus of Sound Cabaret events are Friday 27th September and Friday 29th November.  You can follow the Circus of Sound Cabaret on Facebook or contact Julia to take part as a performer or come along to simply enjoy the cabaret.  Tickets are available in advance from for only £3 or on the door for £4.

The documentary film about Delta 7 was selected to be screened at Sheffield Doc Fest in June and we await news of when the film will be available for the general public.  The band have already had a private screening and are very excited for everyone else to see this and are very grateful to filmmaker Rosie Baldwin for her talent and all the energy she has committed to this project which is an amazing testament to what the band do together and how music supports them to express their ideas and feelings about life and get through even the most difficult of times.  Watch out for news about the film soon.

Finally, the band are launching their latest album Summer Waves on Spotify and other online music platforms and this will be available on 20th June so for the first time you will be able to buy or stream their music wherever you are in the world.

With recent funding from Arts Council England, there are lots more plans for Delta 7 for the rest of 2018 and beyond so to keep in touch please follow them on Facebook and Instagram.
