We are delighted that two of our volunteers have received awards from the Santander Volunteering and Community Engagement Awards 2016.

Felicity Chadwick and Lilly Meikle, both Fine Art students at the University of Brighton, have been volunteering as trainee arts facilitators on the Arts Connect programme. Both have been volunteering for three years, alongside their degree studies.

The volunteers received a prize of £250 each, in recognition of the work they have done on Arts Connect.

Felicity said:

Thank you Culture Shift for nominating me. I am so grateful and kind of humbled that Lily and I won! It’s amazing!

The students intend to continue to use their creative skills and talents in their future careers. We are extremely glad that they have been part of our team.

Culture Shift will continue to work with the University of Brighton to recruit volunteers who have been a consistent and valued part of our work in the community.

Full information about the award, along with the criteria and the nomination form can be found on the Active Student Volunteering Service website.
