Conversation + creativity + CONNECTION = wellbeing
Discovery College is a place for young people in East Sussex to have new experiences and learn more about emotional wellbeing and particular mental health challenges. Young people are involved throughout the design and delivery of programmes which offer a range of activities delivered in community spaces across East Sussex. It is managed by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
Culture Shift has been working with the team since Spring 2020 to support the programme, in particular bringing on board new arts partners , expanding the reach of activity across the county, and supporting training and networking for the team that delivers the programme (peer mentors, subject specialists and mental health practitioners).
Discovery College courses are co designed and co produced with young people.
At the end of each year is an annual gathering and celebration for everyone involved in Discovery College.
All courses are FREE and can be accessed on the Discovery College Website.
Discovery College is supported using public funding by Arts Council England
